Joe’s Journey

Hello all you Singly Married fans. If this is your first time to the website…WELCOME! If you are a loyal listener…WELCOME! Basically, all are welcome and Drew and I appreciate you stopping by. You being here means that you have been listening to the show. THANK YOU! We know that you are learning a little and laughing a lot!

So, this journey of mine is all about creating a healthy lifestyle. I have found that I love to eat out, do minimal exercise/movement and watch way too much TV. Even as I type this right now, I have a drink from Biggby (not a sponsor, but we will take your money)

Did I need it?…NO!

Was I thirsty?…NO!

Did I spend the extra money for a quick fix?…YES!!

This trend has to stop. I am currently at my heaviest weight EVER! I have always been a big guy. However, I am more fat than muscle right now. How big you might ask? 350 pounds. There, I said it. I am a fat 350 pounds. I don’t want to be a 350 pound dude. I want to ultimately be 215 pounds. That is the end goal. I know that it will take time, but I am determined to get this weight off of me.

So, my journey will be to take the next 12 months of 2024 and implement a healthily lifestyle change every month. That way, by the the end of the year I have 12 new healthily lifestyle choices that will continue to move me forward toward my weight loss goal. Sounds like a good idea, but I know that I am going to stumble.

Never fear, Singly Married fans, I got this and I can make this happen!

At the end of every month, I will give you a report on how I did. I’ll let you know the starting weight, the ending weight, the challenges and the accomplishments. If all goes well, by December 31st, I will be 50 pounds lighter. If I can do 50, then I can do 50 more, and then 35 more.

For January, the lifestyle choice is to exercise/be active 30 minutes every day. I’ve done well! I have lost 4 pounds. but the end of January is in a couple of days. Come on back in a few and I will regale you with the trials and tribulations of my strenuous journey !

ONE MIND, ONE LIFE!
